The American Petroleum Institute gravity, or API gravity, is a measure of how heavy or light a petroleum liquid is compared to water: if its API gravity is greater than 10, it is lighter and floats on water; if less than 10, it is heavier and sinks. API gravity is thus an inverse measure of a petroleum liquid's density relative to that of water (also known as specific gravity)
shorthand phrase referring to the physical and chemical properties of a given chemical or compound; properties are needed to evaluate fate and transport of chemical; including, but not limited to, aqueous solubility , vapor pressure , density, Henry’s Law Coefficient , specific gravity, and biodegradability
Pour point represent the lowest temperature at which oil is capable of flowing under gravity. A lower pour point means that the paraffin content is low
This difficulty has been overcome by back calculating the lumped fluid properties (viscosity compressibility product) from simulation runs and correlating the lumped parameter with two measures of volatility that can be obtained from field production data – Gas Oil Ratio and reduced temperature as determined from fluid gravities and reservoir temperature

Im currently on the process of doing a thesis on this subject, however information is dificult to found, so any kind of it will be well received Regards from Colombia
2 Comments - for instance, a spar is suitable for production, semi-subs for fairly shallow depth. gravity base for production. so must first consider the kind of job you are contracted to do. exploration, development, production etc. that is my view. hope it would help you
As the industry's center of gravity shifts towards Norwich, it only makes sense for our SPE Section to follow suit
As EOR technique, steam injection has been matured since the 1950s using CSS (cyclic steam stimulation), steam drive or steam flooding, and SAGD (steam assisted gravity drainage). The high energy cost of heating up the oil bearing formation to steam temperature and the associated high CO2 footprint make steam based technology less attractive today and many companies in the industry have been actively trying to find alternatives or improvements

The reservoir contains a medium gravity, highly paraffinic oil, and is intermediate to moderately oil-wet

“Unconventional Frac Jobs – What Should You Be Concerned About?” Dr. Jennifer Miskimins described the unconventional thought processes called for by unconventional reservoirs in relation to frac fluids, proppants, modeling, etc.
