Producing more oil & gas while spend less capital has forever been the goal in our industry. In Unconventional, Horizontal, multi-stage well completions this is possible through reservoir and completion characterization. Our presentation will demonstrate that through the analysis of existing data from previous completions future completions can be designed to recovery more hydrocarbons while reducing well costs significantly and reducing ESG impact at the same time. Examples of the analysis process and results from modified completion designs will be presented.
Stephen Schubarth Bio
Steve has work in the oil industry for 40 years. His work has included jobs at major and independent operators, consulting firms, service providers and his own consulting firm for the past 17 years. He holds BS & MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M and has published over 30 papers and articles whose primary focus has been on completion optimization through hydraulic fracturing.
Robert Lestz Bio
Robert has worked in the oil and gas industry for 37 years. He spent 22.5 years at Chevron followed by roles as a chief technology officer at a service company and an independent producer. He currently is the President of Greyhorse Engineering and Technology, LLC and has partnered with Schubarth Inc to provide operators a proven technical approach to optimizing their completion economics and achieving their ESG metrics. Robert has published numerous technical papers and articles on hydraulic fracturing and artificial lift. He has 7 patents and served as a SPE Distinguished Lecturer in 2017-2018. He holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas.
