Thank you to Alexander “Sandy” Williams, 𝗦𝗣𝗘 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗫 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁, for an outstanding presentation on “𝘛𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘖𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤e.”
Sandy showed how combining 𝗔𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 can unlock meaningful gains in well performance—often boosting production by 6–8%—while allowing engineers to manage far more wells efficiently. His real-world case studies highlighted how AI can automate routine tasks and even identify complex production issues through advanced pattern recognition.
