The Technical Discipline

Management — treated technically.

AMTS focuses on management as a technical discipline in upstream energy: turning engineering knowledge, uncertainty, economics and strategy into decisions that create value and reduce risk.

What AMTS is — and is not

AMTS is not generic corporate management. It is the technical side of managing energy assets, with direct application to production, operations, development, capital deployment, asset integrity, portfolio choices and long-term performance.

  • Existing assets: optimization, reliability, integrity, lifecycle performance and value capture.
  • New investment: appraisal, development planning, project execution, brownfield opportunities and capital discipline.
  • Decision quality: uncertainty, economics, risk, data, policy and strategic tradeoffs.
AMTS four-quadrants framework
AMTS bridges technical practice with risk, policy, economics and strategic considerations to improve the quality of real asset decisions.

Portfolio analysis, reserves, A&D, field development, integrated asset modelling and optimization.

Risk & Decision Making
