
Building the Future of Energy Management Together
The SPE Asset Management Technical Section (AMTS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the University of Houston – Managing Non-Technical Risks in Energy, a micro-credential program. Together, we will collaborate on programs designed to advance asset management practices and support the development of energy professionals worldwide.
Program Structure and Schedule
The Spring 2026 cohort of Managing Non-Technical Risks in Energy will begin with an orientation session during the week of March 16, 2026, followed by an engagement session the following week. Each badge runs for eight weeks and is primarily asynchronous, with two live Zoom meetings included. Participants may register for Badge 1, any two badges, or all three badges to earn the full belt.
Credentialing
UH Energy awards digital badges for each successfully completed badge:
• Badge 1 – Managing Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts
• Badge 2 – Frameworks, Standards, and Implementation
• Badge 3 – Advanced Applications
Instruction for each badge consists of two modules. Each module includes:
· Five virtual learning sessions (1.5 hrs.) per module
· One real-time group engagement session (2 hrs.) per module
· Interactive case studies and applied learning experience

SPE ATMS Price: $375 Per Badge –Members Only
Non-Member Price Per Badge: $499
