The Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Asset Management Technical Section (AMTS) is hosting the first annual Energy Economics and Evaluation Symposium (E3S), a landmark event in Houston, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the United States Association of Energy Economics (USAEE).
The E3S event will provide attendees and sponsors with exclusive access to Senior Economists, Executives, and policy makers.
One of the biggest attractions of the E3S will be the “Energython – Molecule to Megabyte” competition, which is a “SharkTank” style competition for students from the US and Canada.
Students will submit a techno-economic model to power a data center (10–20 MW load) by a natural gas-fired power plant. Proposals will cover the supply chain, power generation technologies, agreements, and financial models.
We warmly invite an esteemed Executive of your choice to appear as a Judge in our Final round in Houston on January 14, 2026, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch (1801 Allen Parkway Houston, TX 77019).
Your experience in managing large corporations will hone our contestants’ commercial instincts and inspire them to broaden their horizons. We are also seeking sponsors for this event, with all proceeds going towards awards for the competition and future scholarships.
