Abstract:

Oil price forecasts play a role in many facets of the oil and gas industry. Forecasts can be internal forecasts used for corporate planning purposes; banking forecasts used in making lending decisions; governmental forecasts designed to analyze policy decisions; and benchmarks used in basic valuation work. This presentation will cover include a brief review of the global oil supply and demand situation; current banking forecasts and futures prices; trends in oil price differentials; and current events that could impact oil prices in the near term.

Bio:

Tom Walker is the President of Evans & Walker, a Petroleum Engineering consulting firm based in Huntington Beach, California. Evans & Walker provides a variety of consulting services, including the valuation of oil and gas mineral interests. This valuation work requires the preparation of oil and gas price forecasts. Tom has been with Evans & Walker since it’s formation in 2001, and prior to that, worked 15 years for Mobil, Aera Energy and B.L. Evans & Associates. Tom is a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Tom is a Registered Petroleum Engineer and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M in 1985.
