Topic Summary:
The work in connection with the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) drilling rig incident evaluated whether a flow pattern, known as “slug flow”, occurred from May 13 to May 20, 2010, and if it did, what conclusions could be drawn about the flow rate during that period. Slug flow describes a flow pattern of alternating flows of gas and oil.
