Abstract:
Since its discovery some years ago, Brazilian pre-salt has been a big challenge to Petrobras in different disciplines. This webinar will show some general information about pre salt oil fields, and some of the Flow Assurance challenges to produce them.
Speaker: Adriana Teixeira
Adriana Teixeira has been working at Petrobras Research Center, in Brazil, for 19 years. She is a Senior Petroleum Chemist and a Hydrates in Flow Assurance Specialist, leading research projects to meet operational needs in these matters. She has a Master degree in Chemistry, and is also a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering. Her interests are in the risk management of hydrates and the influence of these solids on the other Flow Assurance issues. She is the Regional Champion in Brazil at SPE Flow Assurance Technical Section, and is the planning coordinator of Flow Assurance Committee at SPE Brazil Section.
Moderator: Gizem Ersoy-Gokcal
Gizem Ersoy-Gokcal is currently a New Operations Coordinator in ExxonMobil Upstream Oil and Gas Company. Gokcal has over 16 years of experience in multiphase flow research and oil/gas industry projects. Last 10 years of professional experience has been focused on deep water greenfield and brownfield developments, identifying and assessing flow assurance challenges, optimizing and debottlenecking production and interfacing with subsea and chemical vendors. Gokcal is leading the flow assurance efforts for oil and gas production in Guyana. Gokcal also served in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)’s Flow Assurance Forum in various roles and currently in the leadership team of Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE)’ Flow Assurance Technical Section. She holds a BS degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Middle East Technical University in Turkey, and MSc and PhD degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa.
