Abstract:

Canada possesses huge amounts of economical gas resources and has the expertise to bring this gas to market. Our largest trading partner for natural gas is also flush with gas production and no longer needs our imports. For our gas industry to survive, we need to find new markets.

Global LNG demand is forecast to grow annually at 4% and large global LNG players are competing to build new supply. Once absent from this market, North America now has the opportunity to compete with other countries supplying LNG. This talk will explore how Canada is about to enter this market and how we can compete globally.
