“Chemical Treating: Lessons Learned”
Abstract
Chemical treatment lessons learned and best practices covering many practicable lessons. Focal points include drag reducer use in seawater injection, fluid sampling, chemical transfer, separator/vessel design, chemical tote tank safety, and production well flow backs.
Biography
Dave Barbin has worked for Chevron for forty-one years in production operations. He is currently the Chevron Deepwater Chemical and Corrosion Advisor and works in the Process Engineering Team. Dave has published numerous papers on chemical treatment, metallurgy, cathodic protection, Deepwater seawater injection, produced water injection, internal plastic coatings, and H2S treatment.
