Monthly Meeting Abstract
The EPA has expanded the existing OOOO (Quad-O) regulations with the introduction of subparts OOOOb and OOOOc (40 CFR Part 60), bringing significant changes for crude oil and natural gas facilities nationwide. Facilities constructed or modified after 2022 may fall under OOOOb, while existing facilities could be subject to OOOOc. With these new subparts, owners and operators must understand the updated requirements to ensure compliance with federal standards. This presentation will provide a clear overview of the new regulations, helping stakeholders assess their site’s applicability and compliance obligations.
Monthly Meeting Biography
Hunter West has been an environmental consultant with Approach Environmental for seven years, specializing in air permitting since 2020. Over the past five years, he has successfully permitted numerous oil and gas facilities, including unique projects within the industry. Hunter earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental Geoscience from Texas A&M University in 2017, with minors in Geology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
