As part of this discussion, Representative Landry will address this year’s severance tax reductions and explain their significance for both producers and the broader state economy. He will also provide details on his successful legislative efforts to combat legacy lawsuits. In addition, he will discuss his legislation aimed at reinforcing and modernizing Louisiana’s energy grid, ensuring it remains resilient, reliable, and capable of meeting the demands of the future.

 Biography

Representative Jacob Landry is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Enviro Resources LLC, a company founded in 1994 by his father, Earl Landry. Since its inception, Enviro Resources has been at the forefront of providing eco-friendly solutions to the oil and gas industry. Under Landry’s leadership, Enviro has expanded its operations into Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, with plans for continued growth.

Enviro Resources specializes in the remediation of oil-based cuttings pits and well-pad soils following drilling operations. Its innovative process restore land to its natural state while significantly reducing client costs by eliminating the need for off-site disposal of drilling waste. In addition to his role at Enviro, Landry is a co-owner and operator of both IOS and Energy Management Company. Together, these ventures have generated hundreds of high-paying jobs across the region.

Elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in the fall of 2023, Landry serves District 49 with a focus on three core principles: protecting the oil and gas industry, creating high-wage employment opportunities, and preserving the region’s way of life. In the legislature, he has been a consistent advocate for lowering insurance rates, advancing pro-business policies, and safeguarding Louisiana’s vital coastline. During his first term, Landry introduced landmark legislation aimed at ending legacy lawsuits, strengthening and protecting the state’s energy grid, and modernizing the public notice system.

A lifelong resident of Erath, Landry lives with his wife, Hannah, and their two children, Jack and Jules. He is an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, where he remains deeply connected to his community.
