Abstract
Expandable technology has been used to address casing integrity problems since the 1950’s. Advancements in this technology have enabled multiple expandable tubulars to be run in tandem and considered a reliable method for re-completing horizontal unconventional wellbores. Expandable liners offer efficiencies desired for high rate, multi-stage, re-stimulation designs. This presentation will highlight the technical advantages of expandable liners as well as the preperation and pre-work required for an expandable liner installation. Case studies for the Delaware Basin in addition to the DJ Basin will also be examined.
