Speaker Bio:
Eric Bryan completed his bachelor’s degree at Colorado School of Mines, and his master’s degree at Texas A&M, both in Petroleum Engineering. He had five internships with operators during his time at school and had a short stint with Marathon Oil upon graduation. For the past four years, he has been a Project Reservoir Engineer at DeGolyer and MacNaughton, an oil and gas consulting firm in Dallas. His primary roles include technical RTA based studies and reserve estimations.
Abstract:
This presentation focuses on diagnostics driven multi-phase well performance analysis and production forecasting methods in unconventional (low-permeability) reservoirs. We will provide background for recently introduced methodologies adapted/developed for unconventional reservoirs including basis for selecting/identifying decline parameters. This presentation will primarily include examples from various basins illustrating methods for forecasting gas-oil ratio, evaluating multi-phase behavior and addressing challenges associated with significant changes in well performance such as fracture-driven interactions, refracturing, etc. We will finally discuss applications, limitations associated with those methodologies.
Lunch will be served for all the attendees.
