Abstract
Over the last year, the oil and gas industry has been on the forefront of difficult times. As leaders in the industry, we were challenged beyond our experience to lead through a significant supply surge with remarkable demand decrease at the same time. And while many of us have been through several downturns, this one was unique and required our industry to unite, react and show our resilience. This presentation will explore the challenges that faced one independent oil and gas company and how they were able to overcome with tremendous resilience.
Biography
Beth McDonald is currently Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Field Development (SPFD) and Marketing, for Pioneer Natural Resources. Her responsibilities include subsurface field development, corporate reserves and marketing for Pioneer’s Midland and Delaware basin assets. Beth has served as VP, SPFD since 2019 and has been impactful in her many roles, including President, Pioneer Water Management and VP, South Texas Asset Team, during her 15 years at Pioneer. She initially joined Pioneer in 2005 as a reservoir engineer. Prior to joining Pioneer, she held engineering positions at Hess Corporation and Total E&P USA in Houston. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
