Description

The Next U.S. Oil Boom is #Counterstream

Abstract

Exploration in the US -- both millidarcy and shale fields -- is well past its peak.  While there remains acreage to be drilled in the shale plays and the need for more natural gas, the biggest opportunities for growth is the new industry of carbon capture and storage.  This presentation introduces the basic science and business of CCS, including a discussion of carbon markets, regulations, and tax incentives.
