Abstract
The 2024 Software Symposium Roadshow, hosted in October by the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, showcased the state of automated decline curve forecasting. The event featured a 'Bake Off' where 15 vendors' automated forecasts were analyzed on a common production dataset within 12 hours. The committee is now presenting the highlights and conclusions of the Bake-Off results in a roadshow across various chapters.
