Appalachian Section Membership Drive

Below is a message from Travis Lynn, our seBelow is a message from Travis Lynn, our section's Membership Chair, Please read his message and found our how your membership can directly benefit our section this calendar year.

"Good afternoon, Oil & Gas Industry:

On behalf of the Appalachian Section Officers, I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported last Thursday's SPE Holiday Party at Edgewood Country Club.  It was truly a pleasant evening of relaxation, reconnecting with old colleagues, meeting new people and cherishing the long-standing professional network we've sustained here in the Kanawha Valley over the years.

For those of you who want to continue tapping into those professional development resources that SPE offers, an SPE - Appalachian Section membership can serve as a  good first step toward growing that professional network into 2015.  As a small token of our Section officers' appreciation for continuing your membership with the Appalachian Section of SPE, we have a gift every Appalachian Basin oil & gas enthusiast would love for the first 15 members that respond to me ( with proof their professional membership (including 1st & 2nd year after graduation dues) was paid for 2015 in December 2014.  Gifts can be picked up at Columbia Pipeline Group's 1700 MacCorkle Ave. S.E. Office by contacting Travis Lynn to accommodate the holiday gift-giving season or we can make arrangements for shipment after the holidays or delivery at the January SPE-Appalachian Section Lunch Meeting.

Given our email distribution is nearly 350 addresses strong, we believe there may be some of you that might be interested in officially transferring your membership from other sections or renewing after a small hiatus.  Maybe you recently graduated and are interested in taking advantage of the defrayed dues of USD 10 for 1 year after graduation and USD 45 for 2 years after graduation.  Here are some links to some of the latest news about what's going on with our section in the upcoming months.  Staying current with your SPE membership (updated title/company/technical discipline/section & affiliation) always helps with making sure you're getting the most out of what our society has to offer.  - Catch the photos from the October 2014 Eastern Regional Meeting hosted here in Charleston - All the tools for professional development on one web page.
