"The American Energy Renaissance and the Data to Support U.S. Crude Oil Exports" Presented by Gary Gould, Continental Resources, Sr. Vice President of Operations Abstract A lot has changed in the industry over the last year. The price of oil has dropped 50% and rig activity has dropped 60%. We have experienced several downward oil price cycles over the past few decades, but this one is unique. This time, there is good news! America holds the resources and technology for future oil production growth. As the American energy landscape has changed, we must move from a mindset of scarcity to abundance and lift the outdated ban on U.S. crude oil exports. Allowing U.S. producers to get their crude oil to the global market will create an opportunity for America to create jobs, increase GDP and once again be the growth engine of the world.
