I hope everybody had a wonderful Mardi Gras! If you celebrated with us on Saturday at our 14th Annual Mardi Gras Gala – thank you for joining us and we hope you had a wonderful time. Together we were able to raise over $30,000 for the Willow Springs Boys Ranch. We are so grateful to each of you who came out to support this great cause. The Mardi Gras Committee, led by Katie Plas with Chesapeake Energy, did a phenomenal job.
This month’s Member Spotlight goes to Josh Jordan! Josh is the Sales Manager at Enduro-Tech Chemicals. He joined our Young Professionals Committee last year and has planned so many great events recently. Significantly, he planned a couple with other organizations in Oklahoma City to bring our groups closer. Some of the organizations he’s planned events with are the Petroleum Alliance and Young Professionals in Energy. We are so happy he decided to join our YP Committee and are excited to see what other amazing impacts he makes on our Section. Thank you, Josh!
I hope to see many of you at our March Monthly Luncheon on Thursday, March 19th at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. We will be hosting Muhammad Laghari, a Managing Director in Citi’s Global Energy Investment Banking Group. After all the M&A activity that occurred last year such as the Oxy/Anadarko, WPX/Felix and Citizen/Roan deals. We thought it would be beneficial for our Section Members to hear the Investment Banking Community’s perspective on where the M&A trends are headed in 2020. Once the weather starts to warm up, we plan on hosting an outdoors event with all our family and friends. Stay tuned for more details to come. I hope everybody has a wonderful and productive month.
