The SPE Mumbai Section is organizing a unique panel session series – “The Future Petroleum Engineer”. Over 3 days starting 1st October 2020 hear from industry experts on the changes happening in the Upstream Oil and gas Industry and how they impact the petroleum engineer. 

 Day 1 – 1715 hrs (IST), 1st October 2020 - Emerging energy landscape (Renewables,  etc) – Hear how the landscape is changing from the perspective of the fast changing energy mix, the growing investments in renewables, the diversification of portfolios of the Oil and Gas majors and also use of alternate energy to power Oil and gas operations. What can the Oil Industry do to become more aligned with Sustainability initiatives. Does the Petroleum Engineer have a role to play in the other diversification areas?

Day 3,  1730 hrs (IST), – 3rd October 2020 - The Future Petroleum engineer -  Deriving from the learnings of Day 1 and Day 2 this session would focus on  what how the response to the changes in the landscape made by Operators and service providers changes what is expected of the workforce, in terms of skills, competencies and culture and also what adaptation and upskilling is expected of petroleum Engineers who have been educated and trained in more traditional Petroleum Engineering disciplines.
