Maria Moraeus Hanssen, CEO DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG
Maria Moraeus Hanssen is Chief Executice Officer of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG since January 2018. Before joining DEA, Maria Moraeus Hanssen had been working as CEO of ENGIE E&P International and Head of E&P Business Unit in thee ENGIE Group in Paris for two years. Maria looks back to a broad spectrum of jobs in management and operations in the Norwegian oil and gas industry such as Investment Director at Aker ASA (2008 – 2013), Senior Vice President Gas Supply and Infrastructure at Statoil ASA (2007 – 2008), Vice President / Offshore Installation Manager at Hydro ASA (2006 – 2007), to name but a few.
Maria graduated in "Petroleum Economics and Management" from IFP School - Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs, Paris, in 1992 and holds a degree in "Petroleum Engineering” from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, in 1989. She is also the Deputy Chairman, and the leader of the Audit Committee, of the Supervisory Board of Yara International, a global leader in nitrogen-based fertilizer production.
Dipl. -Ing Stefan Engelshove, Vice President Oil&Gas Germany and Managing Director, Siemens AG Osnabrück
Stefan Engelshove is Vice President Oil&Gas Germany and Managing Director, Siemens AG Osnabrück. He has worked with Siemens AG for more than 15 years. During his career, he held several positions in management. He was team project and processing manager (2000 – 2004), managing director Osnabrück and sales manager region West Germany (2004 – 2008), CEO of the division Oil&Gas and Energy Service Siemens Germany (2008 – 2014) and head business unit Oil&Gas and Marine Germany, head product & Portfolio management Oil&Gas onshore (2014 – 2017). Before joining Siemens, he worked as consultant and team project manager in process control technology with Bayer AG Cologne. Stephan holds an engineer degree (Dipl.-Ing) in electrical engineering from the University Hanover, in management operation and psychology, project management, human resource management, total quality management, business plan, cost control and corporate management from the REFA Institute Dortmund, and in maintenance management from the TÜV Academy Rheinland Dortmund. He is also DGMK (German Society for Petroleum and Coal, Science and Technology) member of advisory board and chairman district association of Hanover, head of working group energy of the management association Emsland, member of advisory board and tariff committee of the employers association Osnabruck and lecturer in project management in the energy sector of the technical university of Osnabrück.
Peter Haffinger, Managing Director, Delft Inversion
Before becoming a co-founder and Managing Director of Delft Inversion in 2013, Peter received a Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands) for his work on full waveform inversion in general but also for specific applications to the reservoir. He was among the first year students of the International Joint Master programme in Applied Geophysics, organised by the IDEA League and including educational stays at TU Delft, ETH Zurich and RWTH Aachen. As part of his career he performed research for Western Geco in Gatwick, UK as well as the Saudi Aramco EXPEC Advanced Research Centre in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. With the team of Delft Inversion his ambition is to establish the next generation AVO technology in the field of seismic reservoir characterisation. Currently Peter is also an invited speaker of the EAGE Distinguished Lecturer Programme where he creates awareness for the technical but also business benefits of taking seismic reservoir characterisation to the next level.
Dipl.-Ing Albrecht Möhring, Managing Director, Vermillion Energy Germany GmbH Co. KG
Albrecht Möhring is since July 2014 Managing Director of Vermillion Energy Germany GmbH Co. KG. Furthermore, he is member of the Management Board of the German Federal Association for Crude Oil, Natural Gas and Geoenergy (Bundesverband Erdgas, Erdöl und Geoenergie e.V. – BVEG) and of different supervisory boards. After his petroleum engineering study at the Claushtal University of Technology, Mr. Möhring worked for Preussag Energie as engineer and manager in the exploration and production of oil and gas in various countries. From 1998 until 2001, he was responsible of the development of an OPCO for Preussag Energy in Venezuela. From 2003 until 2014, he held several international and national positions in the management with GDF SUEZ E&P such as managing director of the German affiliated company.
Ritva Westendorf-Lahouse, Media & Communications Manager, ExxonMobil Central Europe Holding GmbH
Ritva Westendorf-Lahouse, who holds a PhD in Law, started her career with BEB Erdgas und Erdoel GmbH in 2001. Following a company restructuring in 2002 she became Upstream lawyer at ExxonMobil Central Europe Holding. In 2011 Ritva moved over to the Public and Government Affairs department, became the company’s Upstream spokesperson and subsequently Upstream Public and Government Affairs Manager. Since 2015 she is Media & Communications Manager and in this role responsible for Downstream and Upstream print, digital and social media activities. Ritva lives with her wife and son close to Hanover.
Amanda J. Seholm, Global Product Line Director, Logging While Drilling, Baker Hughes, a GE company
Amanda Seholm has over 12 years of technical and management experience in the oil and gas industry. She is currently the Director of Logging While Drilling (LWD) at Baker Hughes, a GE company. Previously, Amanda was the Director of Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering (GPE) for North America Land, focusing on geoscience, reservoir characterization, and well and field optimization across North America. She started her career with BJ Services in Tomball, TX in the geological services laboratory, performing formation evaluation studies to recommend optimal reservoir stimulation treatments, and materials characterization studies to determine remedial treatment recommendations. She earned a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Aarhus in Aarhus, Denmark, and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
