About the speaker:

Dr. Philippe Charlez is Mining Engineer from Ecole Polytechnique de Mons (Belgium) and phd from Institut de Physique de Globe de Paris. He has been working for 35 years in the oil industry. Charlez is recognized as an international expert in energy transition. He is the author of many books and more than 100 scientific papers. He has published in 2017 with Ed. Deboek Supérieur “Croissance, énergie, climat. Dépasser la quadrature du cercle ».

Philippe Charlez is columnist for Atlantico and Contrepoints and participates regularly in TV debates in France and Belgium. He is also the energy expert of the french Think Tank Institut Sapiens. He teaches in SciencePo, Mines Paris Tech Dauphine and CIFE (Centre International de Formation Européenne).
