Navigation Side

The Navigation Icons on the left side of the CMS enables you to create/edit webpages, change page layouts, change arrangement of webpages on the website, change security groups and the visibility options.



To Create or add a new webpage click the New or New Child Icon

To Edit an existing webpage, highlight the webpage folder and click the Edit icon.  In the Edit Navigation/Page
  • Edit title seen in the Navigation menu
  • Edit the URL Name that appears in the URL address of the page
  • Edit/Enter Page code name
  • Edit Security roles required to view the webpage
  • Edit Security roles who can EDIT the content of the webpage
  • Change the page layout
  • Suppress banner ads on the page
  • Show/Hide the webpage in the navigation
     


1.    Naming the webpage/folder for navigation purposes.  The webpage/folder that is being edited called “Home” can be found at http://connect.spe.org/SPEsectionexample/HOME 

2.    Decide who can view this webpage

3.    Decide who can EDIT the content of the webpage

4.    Choose the page layout

5.    Decide the number of items to show on “Announcements”

6.    Decide if you want banner advertisements to appear on THIS page

7.    Decide if the content on this page should be hidden from navigation and/or from viewing on the website (If you weren’t finished editing, for example) 

To quickly View a webpage, highlight the webpage folder and click the View icon

To Edit the order of the webpages click the Cut/Paste icons
