Career Pathways Fair - Tuesday 25 September October (15:00- 18:00) during the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition 2018
SPE International is calling for volunteers to participate in the Career Pathways Fair at ATCE 2018 (Dallas, USA) which leads directly into the Young Member Reception. This event will become the Young Members Receptions at 18:00 but you are not required to stay beyond this time.
The oil and gas industry is a vast sector, offering many different career opportunities and experiences in both technical and non-technical streams. The objective of the Career Pathways Fair is to provide an opportunity for both students and graduates to speak with experienced and young professionals working in different career paths in an informal environment.
We are recruiting volunteers to represent any of the below disciplines, with each discipline to be represented by a Young Professional as well as a more experienced Professional. SPE will provide full guidance but preparation is expected to be minimum, other than being able to attend on the day.
Volunteers can also bring materials with them to the event to showcase their disciplines and inspire students in an interactive environment. The event will be set in an informal environment where students feel free to ask questions, even the silly ones, on a one-on-one basis. The aim is that students will leave this event with a greater knowledge of the career paths out there, and be in a better position to manage their existing or future careers.
