Description:

SPE has an immediate need for energetic team players to help us improve our LinkedIn Group Community. Our community moderators help keep the Group spam-free, foster quality, technical discussions, and build pride among our global membership.

We need moderators who can deliver:

  • Conversations that engage group members
  • Connections between members and with the group, building global SPE pride and identity
  • Control of the experience, guaranteeing a focused, spam-free conversation by upholding the guidelines of our community
  • Care for the needs of our members by giving them a safe space and trusted environment for networking and discussion

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Deep knowledge of SPE, our members, and the E&P industry: You’re well-informed and always current, because you'll need to nurture discussion and be able to contribute to discussion across an range of topical areas 
  • Screening members and controlling the environment: You're a tough screener and strong moderator, guaranteeing a focused, low-clutter conversation
  • Facilitating conversations: Identify strong topics and open up the conversation about what matters most to members right now 
  • Communications and culture: Build pride in SPE membership by connecting members with one another and the group

Your main tasks will include:

  • Review and reply to users in the SPE LinkedIn Group community
  • Moderate spam, posts, and take action on users violating Group rules
  • Identifying trends and proposing content to address common subjects
  • Alerting the SPE Social Media Team of any negative issues, positive wins, and/or when conversation is lagging

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong writing skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be able to read and write English fluently

Nice To Have

  • Experience managing social media channels on behalf of a brand or business
  • Experience moderating a forum and/or community
  • Good intuition and attitude, high energy (enjoys interacting with people)
