What is SPE?
SPE stands for Society of Petroleum Engineers.
SPE is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through our programs and activities and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated members.
SPE Trondheim Section
SPE Trondheim section was founded in 1991 with Jon Steinar Gudmundsson as the first chairman. The chapter arrange social member meetings where both local and international professionals come and have short lectures with following good discussions. The international guests who visit are part of the well renown distingueshed lecturer program sponsored by SPE globally.
Our section has also a quite active student chapter. Their main focus is to arrange company presentations where the students get the opportunity to know about possible job offers and networking.
Society of Petroleum Engineers Trondheim is also listed in the Norwegian Brønnøysund register with organisation number 996 153 541
