By Jonas Sørbel, Equinor

Abstract:

The giant North Sea Johan Sverdrup field with oil recoverable range of 2.2 – 3.2 MMbbls was discovered in 2010. The field was decided to be developed in phases. The project submitted a plan for development in 2015 for the phase 1. The plan is for first production in late 2019 with an expected oil production rate of 440,000 bbl/day. The phase 2 is planned for production start Q3 2022. The objective of the presentation is to share the field development plan for Johan Sverdrup field, and provide a status on current installation progress and the value improvement.
