Mrs. Ehimhen Okoh Runs her 4th Marathon for a Cause!

Last year alone, over 200,000 women living in sub-Saharan Africa died from preventable causes in pregnancy and childbirth. As a part of Team Amref Health Africa, Mrs. Ehimhen Okoh  will be running this year's New York Marathon and dedicating the 42.195 kilometers to the women in dire need of maternal care services before, during and after pregnancy, and the midwives who care for them. By supporting her and giving to Amref Health Africa, you'll help ensure that childbirth is a time of joy for more women in Africa.

As a mother of 2 young kids, this fundraiser is very important to Mrs Okoh. Though NY will be  fourth marathon, it will be the first time she is actively running for a charitable venture particularly one that supports a cause she is passionate about.

Mrs. Okoh is hoping to raise a minimum of $3,000.00 (Three Thousand Dollars) before September 2016 but of course hope to do it much earlier.

None of the funds raised will go towards covering any of her expenses (marathon registration, travel, hotel etc). Every penny raised is being channeled to support these women and each contributor will be able to view this directly on the funding page. All of her own personal expenses will be paid for out of self pocket.

If you are unable to give directly through the funding page (card issues etc), please reach out to her and she will accept offline donations and contribute on your behalf and in your name (or anonymously if you wish). You will be able to view this.

In addition to raising funds for the cause, she is committing on her part to train hard for the marathon and achieve a new personal best time and I would be doing this when her little baby is just over 1 year old.

Kindly use this link to donate (Nigerian cards are accepted) https://www.crowdrise.com/amrefnyc2016/fundraiser/ehimhenagunloye or you can send the money to my Firstbank (2007391693) and she would donate on your behalf.

 Thanks and Warm Regards,
For :Ehimhen Okoh
