Sophie Pokima started her career as a Petroleum engineer in Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Warri. She has over 23 years of experience working in various broad roles in the Development functions in Shell Nigeria and the Netherlands. Over the last 7 years she was the Asset Manager Non operated Ventures for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company from where she moved on to become the Asset Development Manager for Bonga. She recently took up a new role as the GM Nigeria Portfolio, a position in which she is responsible for front end technical maturation of the Nigeria Deepwater development portfolio.
