upstream subsidiary companies of ExxonMobil in Nigeria.
Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL):Esso
Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) was established in
1993 as an affiliate of Exxon Corporation. The Company was awarded
operatorship of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's (NNPC) Oil
Prospecting Lease (OPL) 209 (now OML 133) in the same year. EEPNL is
operator of the deepwater oil and gas development named Erha. The field
streamed first oil in the first half of 2006 and the block is expected
to produce about 500 million barrels of oil.
