SPE Nigeria Council 2018 Vice Chairman Announcement
Debo Fagbami is the Chief Operating Officer of Xenergi Limited, a member company of the Oildata Energy Group. Based in Port Harcourt Nigeria, he oversees all of Xenergi’s gas plant operations and is responsible for growing Xenergi’s gas business and integrating it with other business areas of the company within the energy value chain. Debo’s 20-year career in the oil and gas industry cuts across several disciplines and specialties ranging from wireline logging and perforating, formation evaluation, reservoir monitoring, production testing operations, fast-track marginal field development, scalable gas conversion plants and project management. During this period he covered various roles and job functions including field engineer, operations management, business development and executive/corporate management. Debo holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria as well as an Executive MBA from the Henley Business School of the University of Reading in the UK. He has been an active volunteer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), taking on several roles both locally and internationally over the past 12 years; he is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Port Harcourt Section of the Society and he currently serves on the Nigeria Council of the Society as the Chairman of the Technical Standing Committee. He is a past Council Member of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) where he served as the Publicity Secretary from 2014 - 2016.
