The 2017-2018 SPE Year has officially kicked off and is in full swing! Janeen Judah, President of SPE, set the path during the Distinguished Lecture Series by discussing her synopsis of the direction the industry is moving, in the US and worldwide. We had our first YP Halloween Party followed by our first YP event in State College, PA. Be sure to check out the pictures from these events and future happenings on our Facebook, LinkedIn, and our newTwitter page. Don’t miss out – come back often to view our upcoming events calendar on the Events tab!

2018 is going to be a big year for the Pittsburgh Section as we will be co-hosting the 2018 Eastern Regional Meeting at the Wyndham downtown from October 7th through October 11th. This is a huge event that allows us to gift scholarships amounting to $30,000 per year for five consecutive years to our accomplished students at participating colleges and universities, and helps run our Section for the next five years. For general details and information on sponsoring this event visit www.speeasternregional.com.

Some new and exciting items that are in the pipeline for this year:

Continuing Education classes to assist in achieving credit hours for PE’s

Community Outreach Programs

Volunteer Initiatives

As always, please let us know how we can do better and feel free to request information on specific topics that are of interest to you. Email us at pittsburghsection@spemail.org.

Hope to see you at our upcoming events,
