Speaker Biography:

Steve Wehrenberg is a Sr. Well Control Specialist for Wild Well Control, Inc., a Houston, Texas based company specializing in worldwide firefighting, well control and engineering services. Steve has over 26 years of experience in well control and well intervention operations worldwide.  Steve has extensive operational experience in well control, snubbing,hydraulic workover and coiled tubing operations.

As an experienced well control specialist, Steve has managed well control operations throughout the U.S. and in worldwide locations.  He has participated in high profile operations involving horizontal and HPHT wells in sensitive areas.

Steve has been an instructor for hydraulic workover, coiled tubing and well control courses.  Steve also has been involved in numerous patents related to well intervention and has published numerous industry articles, SPE papers and best practices.

Steve maintains all pertinent industry training and is a member of multiple industry organizations. Steve resides in Mustang, Oklahoma where he enjoys spending time with his wife Mandy and three children.

Jie Wang bio:

Jie Wang has been a Reservoir Project Engineer at Weatherford Laboratories since 2011. She obtained her BSc degree in Petroleum engineering from Petroleum University of China. She also has an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary Canada. She was a PhD candidate in reservoir engineering from 2004 to 2009. Jie has more than 10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering, including reservoir simulation, special core analysis as well as reservoir fluid characterization. She has authored and co-authored 10 technical papers in the area of chemical and reservoir engineering.
