Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce the first section technical meeting (see attached flyer) on Friday 5th Aprilat The African Regent Hotel, 5:00 pm prompt.
We look forward to making our section more involved in exchanging information relative to our local interests and promoting a healthy and fun professional networking forum. We continue to improve our section meetings to include more technical and social activities and feature fellow section members as speakers to discuss topics pertinent to our local oil and gas industry. Our industry faces continuing challenges at the local levels. Through our exchange of ideas and discussion of the issues, our local section programs can help advance solutions to the problems and promote a healthy and growing oil and gas industry in Ghana and the West African region.
We launched our official publication "Deepwater Ghana Magazine" last February during our annual dinner. We are striking hard to get the second edition on or before the golf tournament on 18th May. The lead story will be on Crude facts about Extended Reach Drilling by Fraser Lawson, the Technology Transfer Officer, interview with the longest SPE Member in Ghana, SPE technical papers and student’s project and academic work.
This year our section is participating in the bulk dues system payment where the section collects dues from members and submits for invoicing. We will alert our members when the transaction process is complete. Our website (www.connect.spe.org/ghana) is up and running and we ask members to visit the site to view our program schedules.
We welcome your input of ideas, suggestions and offers to help. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or thoughts you have.
See you on Friday 5th April.
Thank you All!!
