The need for further flow assurance understanding and operation optimization for shale and tight developments is crucial to their overall sustainability and profitability. This workshop addresses the different flow assurance issues associated with shale and tight hydrocarbon production. A significant portion of the operating expense (OPEX) is spent attempting to resolve the difficult flow assurance issues. Supporting any cost reduction program for shale and tight developments takes a keen understanding of flow assurance challenges and a sound strategy for addressing them while optimizing the developments.
