Abstract:

Methane emissions from upstream oil and gas are a leading source of greenhouse gas.  Learn how producers in your peer group are generating Alberta carbon offset credits to help pay for energy efficiency and emission reduction projects.

Speaker Bio:

Kevin is the Director of Business Development for Cap-Op Energy in Calgary.  He is a big thinker with 25 years experience in Alberta’s energy industry and a long-time focus on transitioning Alberta’s economy into a cleaner, thriving future. Kevin is an experienced and well-rounded oil & gas, power and clean energy executive who has worked for TransCanada, Enron Canada, ATCO Pipelines, Golder Associates and the North West Redwater Refinery Project.  Kevin is passionate about bringing low carbon solutions to the energy industry. Kevin graduated from Carleton University with Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Brian is Cap-Op Energy’s Technical Manager and Senior Consultant responsible for offset generation on behalf of energy industry clients. Brian’s contributions to Cap-Op’s technical consulting practice draws upon his decades of experience in the conventional energy sector.  Before joining Cap-Op, Brian worked for over 30 years at TransCanada and PanCanadian, with the last 10 years focussed on air and GHG emissions. Brian has experience in research and development, including co-authoring papers, experience in corporate social responsibility, and corporate strategy and governance. Brian graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
