Season Finale!
THE IMPACT OF INTRINSIC MOTIVATION ON BUSINESS RESULTS
Giovanni Paccaloni
Thursday,
May 15th, 2014 6pm - 8pm
Abstract:
This presentation is focused on the impact on business results of
two motivations, intrinsic and extrinsic. It will be shown that intrinsic
motivation outclasses "carrots and sticks" in the new-work era,
as it is conducive to creativity, innovation and higher
performance. Intrinsic motivation is the necessary basic ingredient to
start any journey towards high business performance and excellence, but it
needs to be nurtured and supported by good leaders to become engagement, passion
and full commitment. As most professionals today work both as team members
and as team leaders in different projects, they are required to learn the
skills of how to act simultaneously as self-directed, engaged workers and
as effective team leaders..
