Join us at the Young Professionals Workshop to listen to and discuss the influencing factors impacting Canada’s energy competitiveness; perspectives on how Canadian producers are adapting to a changing continental energy landscape; and the effects on your career as a young professional in the energy industry.
Featuring two keynote presentations, our speakers will expose you to a wealth of knowledge and experience from the perspectives of the CEO of one of Canada’s largest energy companies and an executive leadership coach and former member of the Canadian National Basketball Team.
Speakers:
Alex Pourbaix: President and CEO of Cenovus Energy, will discuss how one of Canada’s largest energy companies has been influenced by fundamental changes in the Canadian energy industry and how the company is responding strategically in order to attract capital, access markets, and remain competitive in an increasingly continental energy landscape.
Ken Larson: Executive Coach and President of Champion Performance Systems Inc, will be discussing strategies and techniques that young professionals can implement to gain a competitive edge in their careers, including excavating one’s core values, building a compelling story, knowing how to get traction and build momentum, and holding oneself accountable.
