Bio:

John Durand has held executive leadership positions across multiple disciplines for more than three decades, with a career spanning the upstream oil & gas, midstream services, commodity marketing, renewable energy and power generation sectors. Prior to joining WaterBridge Resources LLC, as its President & COO, John served on the leadership team of Pioneer Water Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pioneer Natural Resources. In that role, Durand oversaw the commercial, logistical and supply sourcing functions for the largest water midstream operation in North America. Additionally, John negotiated long-term agreements with both the City of Odessa and the City of Midland to purchase municipal effluent water for industrial use.  WaterBridge currently operates assets in the Permian and Arkoma Basins and entered into a long-term public/private partnership with the City of Fort Stockton aimed at developing brackish water resource, midstream infrastructure and water reuse facilities in the Delaware Basin.  Durand earned an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas and a B.S. degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Louisiana. In addition, John serves as Chair of the Water Subcommittee for the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and sits on the boards of both the Texas Alliance as well as the Produced Water Society.
