Abstract

Using pressure normalized decline curve analysis for rate-controlled wells in high deliverability unconventional plays such as the Haynesville and Eagle Ford has been shown as a reliable technique for forecasting reserves.  However, implementing this pressure normalized decline curve analysis can be time consuming and inefficient for large groups of wells.  This study group discussion will cover the basics of such pressure normalized decline curve analysis and also will include a demonstration of an efficient software routine that is being used at NSAI to make the analysis less time consuming.
