This month we are combining the monthly meeting and the study group into one, since the SPE ATCE will be in Dallas in 2018.

Abstract:

The 2018 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) will be held in Dallas on September 24-26.  The deadline for turning in abstracts to be considered for the Technical Program is January 29th, 2018.  This presents a unique opportunity for Dallas-Fort Worth area SPE members to attend and present a paper at the Society’s premier technical conference.  However, to do so you must submit an abstract, and get it accepted.  This presentation will review the “Call for Paper” process and provide tips for writing the abstract, paper and presentation.  A similar talk has been given in the SPE Pavilion at ATCE the past couple years, and should prove helpful for those that would like to write a paper for this or any other SPE conference in the future.  Ample time will be given for Q&A.
