Abstract

As the industry slowly recovers from the extended downturn, Oil and Gas companies continue to explore new technologies and methods to increase efficiencies and minimize operational costs. However, some of these practices can pose major challenges to well control operations. Human factor represents additional challenge, as risks of well control incidents often increase when inexperienced personnel.

This session will shed light on what we can learn from each other, and how to take advantage of the increased efficiencies of the industry performance. Trends and methods to manage the well control risks will be presented to offer assistance in primary well design and future considerations.
