Bergen Airport Flesland is an international airport, with direct flights to 56 destinations. Among these are major hubs such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Aberdeen and Oslo. The airport lies approximately 20 km from the city centre. Flesland is also the main heliport for the North Sea, from where thousands of offshore workers commute to their work places on-board oil and gas rigs and platforms.

Many consider the train ride between Oslo and Bergen with the Bergen Railway as the most exciting and beautiful train ride in the world.
