The duties of the membership chairperson can be divided between retention of existing members and development of new members. The Society has been very successful, because individual members are willing to recruit new members.

    • Develop a long range plan and set section membership goals 
    • Membership Recruitment and establish recruitment awards 
    • Membership Retention and change of address forms 
    • Budget funds for membership activities 
    • Coordinate with other section activities and communicate with SPE Staff 
    • Promote and monitor Section Membership Contest

But to be efficient membership recruitment and retention has to be supported by every SPE member.

Mission Statement:

We want to build and maintain a broad and dynamic pool of SPE members and to support them with all needs related to SPE membership issues, networking and cooperation within and without the SPE organization.
