On behalf of SPE Oslo, I would like to inform you that SPE Oslo is in partnership with FORCE in organizing a workshop on Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR): From Theory to Field Implementation. The workshop will also cover tracer technology to monitor and optimize EOR processes.

FORCE is a co-operating forum for Improved Oil and Gas Recovery (IOGR) and Improved Exploration (IE) conducetd by oil and gas companies and authorities in Norway. For more information please visit: http://www.force.org/

With the partnership with SPE Oslo and FORCE, SPE Oslo members can sign up for this upcoming MEOR workshop at FORCE member fee. Please remeber to indicate SPE member when you register for the workshop.

Objectives and workshop scope:

  • Understanding the fundamentals and the potential of MEOR method
  • Discussion on MEOR mechanisms and ways to model them
  • Field scale implementation and examples – what does it take to implement MEOR and how can  EOR effect be monitored and evaluated
