Local sponsors of the Oslo section:

Dear SPE Oslo friends,

Welcome to a new SPE Oslo season!

The SPE Oslo kick-off event 2014/15 took place at Ekebergrestauranten in Oslo on Sep 16th, and with over 85 eager participants the evening was a success. Our speaker of the night was Knut Åm, giving a very interesting talk on The conditions for IOR/EOR in the future. His presentation was followed by discussions, comments and a lovely meal, and the skyline view of Oslo set a wonderful background for the event.

Sep 16th was also the release date for the latest edition of our SPE Oslo magazine The First. In this special edition of the magazine, our SPE Oslo full day seminar hosted in June was covered in detail. Please log in on this page or contact our editor Vita Kalashnikova (vita@pss-geo.com) to get hold of an electronic copy.

Heading into this new season, I will be stepping down as the SPE Oslo Chairman. I am however very happy to announce that PhD Jafar Fathi from Core Energy will take on the Chairman responsibility, leading the section into an ambitious and exciting season. With him he has got a dedicated and committed board, and brand new SPE projects and plans are already in the making.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for a great couple of years as the section Chairman. Working with the SPE Oslo section and board is a privilege and I am very proud of what we as volunteers, sponsors and members have accomplished together.

The SPE Oslo section is always open to new members, visitors and sponsors and we look forward to seeing you in our next event.

Kristine Behné Ramsnes
Chairman SPE Oslo 2012-14
