Local sponsors of the Oslo section:

Dear SPE Oslo friends,

On March 5th, an SPE Oslo downhole monitoring lunch was held in AGR’s offices in Skøyen. The presenter for the event was Jakob Haldorsen from READ AS, and a group of enthusiastic SPE Oslo members showed up for a talk on "Listening to a Compacting Reservoir Using a High Channel-Count, Down-hole Array of Acoustic Sensors".

In the weeks to come, SPE Oslo has a number of exciting events on the agenda. On March 26th, the SPE Young Professionals are inviting both new and familiar young acquaintances to an informal and fun Oil&Gas Quiz and socializing at Olivia's Aker Brygge.

On Friday April 4th, the SPE Oslo section is further very happy to be able to present a quite special guest: the worldwide SPE President 2015 and VP strategy and portfolio for Statoil Development and Production North America Helge Haldorsen is visiting Oslo. Haldorsen will meet our members at the Thief on Tjuvholmen for some light afternoon refreshments and discussions around topics like international business opportunities and career experiences.

Finally, the Distinguished Lecturer Anatoly Zolotukhin is visiting SPE Oslo for a talk on “Arctic Petroleum Resources: Basis for Petroleum Activities in the 21st Century” on April 8th. We will use this opportunity to invite you to a “good&old” Hotel Continental dinner and as always we can promise both great food and atmosphere.

More info on the events above will be presented further down on this page; we hope you are as excited about our program as we are and we look forward to seeing you! Welcome!

Kristine Behné Ramsnes
