SPE Spirits Tasting and Food Pairing - Scotch Whiskey Edition

Come and enjoy an evening of fine spirits and professional food pairings. This is the sections third edition of the spirits tasting, and will be featuring Scotch whiskeys.  We will learn about the background and genesis of the various whiskeys and hear from the chef about his chosen food pairings and how the food accents the flavors of the whiskey.

The menu for the evening will be: 

Pan seared apple bacon & fontina stuffed pork chops drizzled with red chile honey & coriander sauce, roasted goat cheese & caramelized onion potatoes, grilled asparagus with lemon and extra virgin olive oil

Pistachio crusted mahi drizzled with vanilla hazenut crème, sweet pea risotto, honey glazed carrots

Cranberry gremolata crusted filet mignon, pecan risotto, sage & browned butter squash
