Dr. T. S. Ramakshinan (Rama) has been awarded the 2012 Charles W. Pierce distinguished alumni award by the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Illinois Institute of Technology. Rama is a Scientific Advisor and CO2 Mitigation Department Director in Schlumberger-Doll Research (Cambridge, MA). Rama was a recipient of the SPE Formation Evaluation Award in 2009, and was elected a SPE Distinguished Member in 2003.

Dr. Bikash Sinha, Scientific Advisor at Schlumberger-Doll Research (Cambridge, MA) has been awarded the IEEE 2012 W. G. Cady Award “For fundamental contributions to the theory and analysis of temperature and stress effects in piezoelectric crystal resonators, innovative advancements in both the thickness-shear and surface-acoustic-wave based quartz pressure sensors, commercialization of precise pressure sensors based on his invention of dual-mode concept, and outstanding contributions to the borehole acoustic technology in the oil and gas industry”. Bikash’s contributions cover both Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering. |
